Abstract

The paper studies the Cloud Security of the PyRoomba smart vacuum system. The Scout Suite tool was deployed to perform forensic audit on the cloud settings of the vacuum. The environment was configured using Python version 3.13 to make sure it’s compatibility with modern security auditing libraries. The research found 18 dangerous security risks and 6 warning level problems, specifically in IAM (Identify and Access Management) section. Most Vulnerable issues were weak access rules and lack of Multi-Factor-Authentication (MFA). We leveraged specialized Scout Suite extensions to automate the auditing and mitigate these vulnerabilities. We identified threats and enhanced the operational features of PyRoomba by optimizing cloud connectivity and resource management. The remediation of the identified misconfigurations is expected to have a significant positive impact on eliminating risks related to unauthorized access and improving the overall forensic integrity of the cloud infrastructure. The conclusion shows that Scout Suite is an efficient and effective tool for securing Cloud Data.
